At a press conference on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, members of the Joint Budget Committee, a partnership between Lancaster County, the City of Lincoln, and community stakeholders, rolled out an application process to distribute $15M in grants to nonprofits in Lincoln and Lancaster County.

These dollars, part of the American Rescue Plan, will be transformational for the Lincoln and Lancaster County community. These resources represent new opportunities for home visits for new mothers, for fresh fruits and vegetables on family dinner tables, for safe and stable housing, along with numerous services that make an improvement in people’s lives.

Funding Focus: Funding is available for programs that specifically augment city/county human services with emphasis on basic and emergency needs and behavioral health in the following five strategies: Food, Victim Safety, Shelter, Adult Behavioral Health, and Youth Behavioral Health
