All children should be able to grow up with readily available books at home. Books at home propel a child further in education and help break the link between poverty and poor academic outcomes.
Through United Way’s Virtual Book Drive, books will be delivered through United Way’s nonprofit partners and supported school communities of Campbell, McPhee and Clinton Elementary Schools throughout the year. What a boost this will be for families in our community, giving them a family activity to expand and compliment their children’s education.
Since 2012, United Way’s Virtual Book drive has helped distribute over 30,000 books to children in our community.
