The issues faced by our community are big. No one person or agency can solve these issues on their own. It takes an All-Star team to meet our community’s needs. Because United Way can bring the community together in a way that no one else can, together we can find solutions to our community’s most pressing needs.
Nebraska All-Stars was the theme of this year’s Kickoff event. 2021 Campaign Co-Chairs, Tim Sabo and Phil Morgan, both of Nelnet, showed their competitive sides when they announced they were “picking teams” to see which All-Star team could raise the most and win. After a few selections, the chairs realized that their competitive natures were getting the better of them. There was no need for competition. We are all one big All-Star team.
Everyone plays a part. Donors, nonprofit workers, recipients of services. This is how we LIVE UNITED as a community to deliver impact.
This year, the community has set a goal to raise $6.35M which will support 64 local health and human services agencies forming a critical safety net for members of Lincoln and Lancaster County.
So far, the Campaign has raised $2,914,204 from Pacesetter companies and individuals who are leading the way.
