United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County focuses support in two high-need areas: investing in children and assisting those in crisis.
Investing in Lincoln’s Future: Our ChildrenUnited Way helps to ensure that children are prepared for school and are encouraged to succeed. Funding is used to provide early care, education, and mentoring for children in the community. The ultimate goal is youth graduating from high school with the skills and motivation to pursue continuing education or employment opportunities.
Assisting Those in CrisisUnited Way reaches out to those in crisis. This area focuses on providing immediate needs—food, shelter, safety from domestic violence, and support in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.
